Post 3: Understanding Contracts - Simplified

Contracts can feel intimidating, but I promise, they don’t have to be. Before you ever sign anything, we’ll sit down and go through it together so you fully understand what you’re agreeing to.

What we’ll review

  • Buyer agency agreement
  • Purchase contract
  • Important disclosures

Nothing gets signed blindly. Ever.

Buyer agency agreement (in simple terms)

This just means you’re working with me as your agent. It outlines:

  • How I represent you
  • What I do for you
  • How we work together

It’s there to protect you and make sure you have someone fully in your corner.

The purchase contract

This is what we submit when you’re ready to make an offer. It includes:

  • Purchase price
  • Timeline
  • Contingencies (like inspections and financing)

Things buyers often ask for

Every situation is different, but some common requests include:

  • Help with closing costs
  • Specific timelines
  • Repairs or allowances

We’ll talk through what makes sense for your situation and the specific home.

My goal during this step

I want you to feel confident, not confused. Ask questions. Take your time. That’s what I’m here for.
